During the months of May and June, the pilot training program was carried out in two differents cities of Spain: Valencia and Catarroja. The main objective was to promote active aging through the collaborative nonprofit economy aimed at the elderly, associations and nonprofit organizations.
The last coordination consortium meeting of the European ColaborActive project took place on July 10 and 11. During the meeting, the results of each of the pilots made in the different countries involved were presented and the details for the final reports and the sustainability in the project time were finalized.
E-Seniors association conducted the pilot of the Colaboractive training in Paris. This course aims to give seniors a better knowledge of online collaborative platforms and sharing economy. Thus, through training, seniors acquire skills related to ICTs, communication, active ageing and social participation.
On May 29th, 2018, the co-validation session of the structure of the training course for the project “COLABOR-ACTIVE: Development of a training program to promote active ageing through the non-profit collaborative economy” took place in Polibienestar.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), active ageing constitutes “the process of optimizing opportunities for health, participation and security in order to enhance quality of life” for people over 65. For example, community participation is a fundamental component of active ageing.
